New Voices Open Applications (Via Air)

Applications are now open to apply to New Voices, AIR’s (Association of Independents in Radio) signature program to bring underrepresented and emerging producers into the audio industry.
Each year, AIR identifies and cultivates a diverse roster of early-career talent to arm them with the skills to better understand their role as mission-driven storytellers.
In addition to a $1,000 stipend, New Voices receive mentorship, professional development support and structured networking sessions with leaders in the industry. More importantly, New Voices join an incredible network of program alumni who represent all levels and careers in the audio industry. It is your key to career mentorship, collaboration and networking opportunities.
Since 2009, New Voices has provided space, opportunity and community to underrepresented independents in audio. Defined by AIR's commitment to a vibrant range of diverse voices and experiences, the New Voices program nurtures pathways for independents to be heard, amplified and understood.
This year, New Voices will take shape digitally to best support the needs of our participants throughout the U.S. due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19. New Voices Captain Elena Rivera and AIR’s New Voices Program Coordinator Casper will spearhead the 5-month program from August to December 2022. New Voices will bring together a cohort of emerging media makers to build, reflect and engage in critical dialogue on their creative journeys.
Through online discussions, interactive roundtables, activities and workshops led by New Voices alums, AIRsters and distinguished industry speakers, participants will emerge with a clearer picture of how they can bring their values to catalyze change within the industry.
